Dr. Abe Hardoon - Doctor

Dr. Abe Hardoon is an Internal Medicine physician, Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Abe Hardoon was born in Israel. He grew up in New York City, graduating from Newtown High School and then York College of the City University of New York.

While in high school and then in college, Dr. Abe Hardoon supported himself with many odd jobs including taxi driving, selling cutlery, house painting, working as a stock person in a supermarket, a cashier in a fruit store, and even as a Baskin Robbins ice cream manager. Eventually, he established a fund raising company where he was very successful and able to retire at the age of 30. Married, with 2 young children, he applied and got accepted to the AUC School of Medicine, where he was able to start working towards his lifelong dream of medicine.

During most of his clinical training, Dr. Hardoon rotated in St. Thomas in the USVI, the New Britain Campus in Connecticut (a Major affiliate of the University of Connecticutt School of Medicine), and Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Campus in New York City (a Major affiliate of Albert Einstein School of Medicine and Mount Sinai School of Medicine). After graduating medical school, Dr. Abe Hardoon was very fortunate to secure a spot at North Shore University Hospital in NY to continue his training in Internal Medicine for the next 3 years, which was right down the road from where he grew up.

During his training, he focused on the the primary care aspect of Internal Medicine. After completing his Internal Medicine Residency, he worked in several Emergency Rooms and then started a private practice. However, it wasn't long before he got tired of the snow and moved down to Florida.

Dr. Abe Hardoon has been practicing in the Suntree area of Melbourne since 1996. He started Suntree Internal Medicine in September 2002. In June 2015, Suntree Internal Medicine moved to the new facility at Brevard Medical City.

In 2009 Dr. Edwin Chan joined Dr. Hardoon at the practice. Dr. Chan was a childhood friend of Dr. Hardoon children, Scott and Eric.

In 2011 Dr. Hardoon’s son, Dr. Scott Hardoon joined his father at their practice.

In 2015 Dr. Hardoon was proud to welcome his nephew, Dr. Gary Hardoon to the practice.

Dr. Scott Hardoon is an Internal Medicine physician, Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Hardoon grew up on Long Island, New York during his youth, and moved to Orlando, Florida with his family during the early 1990’s. After completing high school in Orlando, FL, he was awarded the Florida Academic Scholarship via Bright Futures and chose to pursue his studies at Rollins College, in Winter Park, FL. During his time at Rollins College, he completed his major in Biology while appearing on the President’s List during multiple years.

Soon after graduating, Dr. Hardoon met his future wife, Darlene, and they proceeded down the journey of medical school via AUC School of Medicine. During most of his clinical training, Dr. Hardoon was based in Southfield, MI and rotated through St. John Hospital as well as St. John Providence Hospital in Southeast Michigan. However, his ultimate goal was to get back to the warm weather of Florida and he was delighted to be able to rotate through Cleveland Clinic in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, as well as Bayfront Medical Center, in St. Petersburg, FL.

After graduating medical school, Dr. Hardoon was very fortunate to secure a spot in Orlando Regional Medical Center to continue his training in Internal Medicine for the next 3 years, which was his hometown program where he always dreamed of being trained. During his training, he started to place an emphasis on the geriatric and primary care aspect of Internal Medicine. After completing his Internal Medicine Residency in 2011, he joined Suntree Internal Medicine, where he can continue to pursue his passion while administering Primary Care to the ever enlarging population of the Space Coast.

Dr. Hardoon continues to be married to his wife of over 10 years, Darlene. They have two children, Ashley and Emily, as well as a therapy dog, Indy, who makes visits with Darlene to Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, and local Elementary Schools. Dr. Hardoon and his family continue to look forward to being a part of this community for many years to come.

Dr. Gary Hardoon - Doctor

Dr. Gary Hardoon - Doctor

Dr. Gary J. Hardoon is an Internal Medicine Physician, Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Hardoon grew up on Long Island, NY, then moving to Upstate New York to attend College at Cornell University. He graduated with an Honors degree, while double majoring in Biology and History.

He then accepted a Chancellor’s Scholarship to attend AUC School of Medicine, where he excelled, and joined the Medical Honor Society. Dr. Hardoon did his clinical rotations throughout New York City Hospitals, where he had a wide breadth of hands-on training.

Then moving to Orlando, he did his residency at Orlando Health, where he served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine, a 38-person program, in his last year. During his time at Orlando health, his interest in primary care truly blossomed, becoming the first person to ever win the primary care award for outstanding dedication and service in the primary care setting, all three years that he was a resident.

Dr. Hardoon then joined Suntree Internal Medicine in 2015, where he not only treats patients daily, but also teaches educational classes for patients at night. Dr. Hardoon holds active admitting privileges at Orlando Health, Holmes Regional Hospital, and Viera Hospital.

When he is not working, he spends his free time with his wife, Jackie (his high school sweetheart), and their Cockapoo, Olive. They like to go to the movies, travel, and eat at their local favorite restaurants here in Brevard County.

Dr. Edwin Chan was originally from the Central Florida area and was raised here for most of his life. His pursuit of medicine started in his teenage years when he met the Hardoon family. Dr. Abe Hardoon encouraged him to attend medical school and also served as a mentor during his path to become a physician.

His medical training has bought him to several diverse places including Los Angeles, Detroit, London, England and eventually Toledo, Ohio where he served as chief resident during his tenure there.

Today Dr. Chan is well established in the Melbourne area with his wife, Mai, and two children, Carmelo and Olivia.

Dr. Ami Bhatt - MD

Dr. Ami Bhatt - MD

As a family medicine practitioner, Dr Bhatt's primary priority is to earn the trust and respect of her patients. She enjoys engaging with her patients and being their partner in their healthcare choices and to help overcome any personal challenges. As being a partner and supporter of each patient she understands the importance of being approachable and compassionate.

Dr Bhatt brings 3 years of family practice experience to Suntree. She comes from beautiful southern California where she attended the University of California, Irvine where she earned her degree in Biological Sciences with highest honors. Dr Bhatt attended medical school at St Georges University and did her clinical rotations in New York City. She then went back to California where she completed her residency in family medicine at Kaiser Permanente. Dr Bhatt and her husband have recently relocated to Florida.

On her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and family. She enjoys traveling, crafting, baking and meeting new people.

Jennifer Schneider - ARNP

Jennifer Schneider - ARNP

Jennifer is a board certified advanced registered nurse practitioner specializing in family practice, woman's health, integrative medicine, thyroid and bio-identical hormone replacement. Jennifer has been a resident of Brevard County since 1997, a registered nurse since 2007, and an advanced practice registered nurse since 2010.

She has a Masters degree in Social work from the University of Michigan (MSW), and worked as a family social worker for ten years in outpatient and residential treatment settings. She is also a graduate of both Michigan State University (BA) and the University of Central Florida (BSN and MSN).

Her experience as a nurse includes working in inpatient labor/delivery and mother/baby as a preoperative, operative and post-operative nurse. She has worked as a nurse practitioner previously at an Internal medicine practice in Rockledge, urgent cares in Melbourne and Merritt Island, and at an Integrative Medical family practice in Suntree/Viera.
Jennifer’s special interests include integrative medicine, weight loss, thyroid and bio-identical hormone replacement, healthy alternatives to medication and making lasting healthy lifestyle changes.

She has a personal history of losing over 130 pounds and keeping the weight off for over 6 years. In her off time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the movies and traveling.

Shannon Spreitzer - ARNP

Shannon Spreitzer - ARNP

Shannon is a board certified advanced registered nurse practitioner specializing in family practice. Shannon has been a resident of Brevard County since 2000 and a registered nurse since 2003. She is a graduate of both Eastern Florida State College and the University of Central Florida.

Her experience as a nurse includes working in inpatient cardiac care and in outpatient surgery as a preoperative and post-operative nurse. Shannon’s special interests include patient education, holistic care, quality improvement and chronic disease management. She is currently working toward the doctorate of nursing practice degree at the University of Central Florida.

On a personal note, she is married and has one son. In her off time she enjoys spending time with family, going to the movies and traveling.

Dawn B. Trundle - ARNP-C, DNC

Dawn B. Trundle - ARNP-C, DNC

Dawn Trundle completed her undergraduate and graduate studies the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. In addition, she also returned to complete her Doctor of Nursing Practice with her final translational project focusing on chronic pain.

Dawn served as a preceptor for the University of Tennessee School of Nursing from 2006-2012. She is an active member of the Florida Associate of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Association. Dawn has been a nurse since 2006 and has extensive experience in family practice, interventional pain management, and women’s health.
