Dr. Abe Hardoon, MD
Dr. Abe Hardoon is an Internal Medicine physician, Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Abe Hardoon was born in Israel. He grew up in New York City, graduating from Newtown High School and then York College of the City University of New York.
While in high school and then in college, Dr. Abe Hardoon supported himself with many odd jobs including taxi driving, selling cutlery, house painting, working as a stock person in a supermarket, a cashier in a fruit store, and even as a Baskin Robbins ice cream manager. Eventually, he established a fund raising company where he was very successful and able to retire at the age of 30. Married, with 2 young children, he applied and got accepted to the AUC School of Medicine, where he was able to start working towards his lifelong dream of medicine.
During most of his clinical training, Dr. Hardoon rotated in St. Thomas in the USVI, the New Britain Campus in Connecticut (a Major affiliate of the University of Connecticutt School of Medicine), and Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Campus in New York City (a Major affiliate of Albert Einstein School of Medicine and Mount Sinai School of Medicine). After graduating medical school, Dr. Abe Hardoon was very fortunate to secure a spot at North Shore University Hospital in NY to continue his training in Internal Medicine for the next 3 years, which was right down the road from where he grew up.
During his training, he focused on the the primary care aspect of Internal Medicine. After completing his Internal Medicine Residency, he worked in several Emergency Rooms and then started a private practice. However, it wasn't long before he got tired of the snow and moved down to Florida.
Dr. Abe Hardoon has been practicing in the Suntree area of Melbourne since 1996. He started Suntree Internal Medicine in September 2002. In June 2015, Suntree Internal Medicine moved to the new facility at Brevard Medical City.
In 2009 Dr. Edwin Chan joined Dr. Hardoon at the practice. Dr. Chan was a childhood friend of Dr. Hardoon children, Scott and Eric.
In 2011 Dr. Hardoon’s son, Dr. Scott Hardoon joined his father at their practice.
In 2020 Dr. Hardoon was proud to welcome his nephew's wife, Dr. Megan Galili to the practice.
Dr. Scott Hardoon, MD
Dr. Scott Hardoon is an Internal Medicine physician, Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Hardoon grew up on Long Island, New York during his youth, and moved to Orlando, Florida with his family during the early 1990’s. After completing high school in Orlando, FL, he was awarded the Florida Academic Scholarship via Bright Futures and chose to pursue his studies at Rollins College, in Winter Park, FL. During his time at Rollins College, he completed his major in Biology while appearing on the President’s List during multiple years.
Soon after graduating, he proceeded down the journey of medical school via AUC School of Medicine. During most of his clinical training, Dr. Hardoon was based in Southfield, MI and rotated through St. John Hospital as well as St. John Providence Hospital in Southeast Michigan. However, his ultimate goal was to get back to the warm weather of Florida and he was delighted to be able to rotate through Cleveland Clinic in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, as well as Bayfront Medical Center, in St. Petersburg, FL.
After graduating medical school, Dr. Hardoon was very fortunate to secure a spot in Orlando Regional Medical Center to continue his training in Internal Medicine for the next 3 years, which was his hometown program where he always dreamed of being trained. During his training, he started to place an emphasis on the geriatric and primary care aspect of Internal Medicine. After completing his Internal Medicine Residency in 2011, he joined Suntree Internal Medicine, where he can continue to pursue his passion while administering Primary Care to the ever enlarging population of the Space Coast.
Dr. Hardoon's hobbies include traveling the world and experiencing new cultures as well as staying close to home and spending quality time with his family. Dr. Hardoon is blessed to have his wife, Katy, by his side, along with their 3 beautiful children, Ashley, Milania, and Emily. Dr. Hardoon continues to look forward to being a part of this community for many years to come.
Dr. Edwin Chan, MD
Dr. Edwin Chan was originally from the Central Florida area and was raised here for most of his life. His pursuit of medicine started in his teenage years when he met the Hardoon family. Dr. Abe Hardoon encouraged him to attend medical school and also served as a mentor during his path to become a physician.
His medical training has bought him to several diverse places including Los Angeles, Detroit, London, England and eventually Toledo, Ohio where he served as chief resident during his tenure there.
Today Dr. Chan is well established in the Melbourne area with his wife, Mai, and three children, Carmelo, Olivia and Evangelina.
Dr. Ami Bhatt, MD
As a family medicine practitioner, Dr Bhatt's primary priority is to earn the trust and respect of her patients. She enjoys engaging with her patients and being their partner in their healthcare choices and to help overcome any personal challenges. As being a partner and supporter of each patient she understands the importance of being approachable and compassionate.
Dr Bhatt brings 3 years of family practice experience to Suntree. She comes from beautiful southern California where she attended the University of California, Irvine where she earned her degree in Biological Sciences with highest honors. Dr Bhatt attended medical school at St Georges University and did her clinical rotations in New York City. She then went back to California where she completed her residency in family medicine at Kaiser Permanente. Dr Bhatt and her husband have recently relocated to Florida.
On her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and family. She enjoys traveling, crafting, baking and meeting new people.
Dr. Meghan Galili, MD
Dr. Meghan Galili is an Internal Medicine physician. She attended the University of Central Florida, where she worked as a medical scribe project leader for four years. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology, while earning multiple honors and awards.
Dr. Galili has a passion for learning and realized early on during her education that she wanted to pursue a career in medicine. She attended Ross University School of Medicine, where she met her husband on the first day of school. She then completed the majority of her clinical training in Florida.
After graduating medical school with High Honors, she matched into residency at Orlando Health. During her training she was involved in various scholarly activities, including many medical case publications, presentations, and notably she won a state finalist award for the American College of Physicians. Additionally, during her time as a resident, she focused her interests on primary care. Building trusting relationships with her patients is essential for Dr. Galili. She believes in a multidisciplinary patient centered approach including the most up to date medical advice, patient education, and proper nutrition. She is thrilled to be able to join Suntree Internal Medicine and continue her passion for primary care.
When she is not at work, you can find Dr. Galili spending her time with her husband, daughter Madeleine, and their puppy. She enjoys going to the beach, running, and working out.
Dr. Hareer Al Salihi, MD
Dr. Hareer Al Salihi is an Internal Medicine physician and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
She offers individualized, high-quality primary care to patients in Melbourne , FL
Dr. Al Salihi was born and raised in Iraq, she then attended medical school at University of Sharjah in United Arab Emirates and graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery ( MBBS) with honors. She later pursued residency in USA. She did her residency at Orlando Health. During her training she focused on building her skills in primary care and was involved in multiple projects and publications.
Dr. Al Salihi believes in patient- centered and cares to build relationships with her patients, listening to them and giving them all her attention.
She is proud to serve her patients through important moments in their lives, supporting them in treatment and recovery. She also offers preventive care, wellness check-ups, and builds long-lasting relationships with her patients and their families.
When not working she loves spending time with her family, loves playing sports, and reading.
Dr. Al Salihi is accepting new patients and warmly welcomes her existing patients to Suntree internal Medicine on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursday.
Dr. Christopher Thaver, MD
Dr. Christopher Thaver is a board certified physician by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr.Thaver graduated from the University of South Florida with honors in Biomedical sciences and a minor in biophysics. He then continued his training at Morehouse School of Medicine followed by Family Medicine residency in Albany, Georgia, where he found a passion for helping underserved communities. He attributes this training to help shape him as a competent, compassionate, evidence based physician. His specialties include but are not limited to hypertension, diabetes, congestive heart failure, and joint/trigger point injections.
Born and raised in our beautiful city of Melbourne, he returned home to be close to family and serve the population he grew up with. He looks forward to providing quality health care services to his community.
When away from the clinic, he has a passion for working on cars, building computers, photography, and outdoor sports.
Shannon Spreitzer, DNP, APRN-BC
Shannon is a board certified advanced registered nurse practitioner specializing in family practice. Shannon has been a resident of Brevard County since 2000 and a registered nurse since 2003. She is a graduate of both Eastern Florida State College and the University of Central Florida.
Her experience as a nurse includes working in inpatient cardiac care and in outpatient surgery as a preoperative and post-operative nurse. Shannon’s special interests include patient education, quality improvement and chronic disease management.
On a personal note, she is married and has one son. In her time off she enjoys spending time with family, going to the movies and traveling.
Nikka Cohan, APRN-C
Nikka is a board certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner specializing in adult health. She has experience in primary care, general surgery, vascular surgery, dermatology and wound care. Nikka has been a resident of Brevard county since 2009, registered nurse since 2006 and advanced registered nurse practitioner since 2012. She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and University of North Florida.
She spends her downtime with her awesome daughter, traveling and going to the beach.
Angela Armellini, APRN-C
Angela is a board certified advanced registered nurse practitioner specializing in family practice. Angela is a lifetime resident of Brevard county and a registered nurse since 2011. Angela got her undergraduate degree at South University and her graduate degree at Chamberlain College of Nursing in Illinois.
Her experience as a nurse includes inpatient care of the medical-surgical patient with extensive knowledge in gastroenterology, pulmonology, and oncology. Angela has 6 years of experience in the management and administration of chemotherapy and biotherapies as well as management of the oncology patient. She has also precepted many nursing students and new graduates in the preceptor role.
On her time off she enjoys spending time with her son, kickboxing classes, cooking, and traveling.
Jasmine Montañez, APRN
Jasmine is a board certified advanced registered nurse practitioner specializing in family practice. She is a graduate of East Coast Polytechnic University in Virginia and the University of Central Florida. Her experience as a nurse includes emergency care, inpatient neurology progressive care unit, and the medical intensive care unit.
Jasmine was born and raised in Hoboken New Jersey, is of Puerto Rican descent, and fluent in English and Spanish. She spent 10 years in the Coast Guard as a marine science technician and afterwards pursued studies in psychology and nursing.
When away from the clinic, Jasmine enjoys time with her family, cycling, and cooking.
Brandi Gallego, APRN
Brandi is an advanced practice registered nurse, board certified in family practice. Brandi is originally from Tampa, but Brevard County has become her home away from home. She has always worked in health care and became a registered nurse in 2007. She is a graduate of Eastern Florida State College, University of Central Florida, and Walden University.
Her experience as a nurse includes care of the oncology patient, long term acute care, and hospice care. She has a special interest in education and serving the community. She serves as a board member of a local non-profit called C.A.R.E. Brevard supporting women affected by gynecologic cancers.
On a personal note, she is married to her high school sweetheart, has two wonderful kids and two dogs. On her off time, she enjoys working out, spending time with her family, trying new local restaurants, and sneaking the dogs on the couch.
Amber Jack, APRN
Amber is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse specializing in family medicine. She is a native Floridian and moved back to Brevard County in 1998. She received her undergraduate degree from Indian River State College and her graduate degree from Purdue University Global.
Amber has been a nurse since 2006. She has experience in cardiology, intensive care, and many years of supervisory and management. As an APRN, she has prior experience in cardiology in the clinical setting and hospitalization. She is passionate about the management of chronic illnesses and patient education.
In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling whenever possible.
Luana Meskauskas, APRN
Luana is a board certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner specializing in family medicine. She is a graduate of Advent Health University in Orlando. She became a nurse in 2009 and began working as a travel nurse in 2013. Her experiences as a nurse include cardiac intensive care unit, surgical intensive care unit, burn intensive care unit, neurological intensive care unit trauma center level 1, emergency care, critical care transport, flight nursing, and many more. She has worked extensively with abuse victims, and he is also certified to teach CPR, BLS, ACLS, and PALS through American Heart Association.
She was born in the USA but she was raised in Brazil until 1997, when she came back to United States and moved to Orlando where she acquired her education. She moved to California as a travel nurse in 2013 but moved back to Florida in 2021 to finish her studies. After years of being on the road, she now resides in Brevard County, where she has found peace. She is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and has worked in many world-renown facilities around the country throughout her career. Her biggest passion is helping underserved communities with a focus on preventive care as well as volunteering, and she has been on many mission trips. She is passionate about teaching, educating, and she enjoys precepting new students.
On a personal note, she enjoys spending time with her mom and friends. She enjoys running long distance outdoor trails, extreme sports, being out in nature, but she enjoys traveling the most.
