Dr. Abe Hardoon, MD

Dr. Abe Hardoon is an Internal Medicine physician, Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Abe Hardoon was born in Israel. He grew up in New York City, graduating from Newtown High School and then York College of the City University of New York.

While in high school and then in college, Dr. Abe Hardoon supported himself with many odd jobs including taxi driving, selling cutlery, house painting, working as a stock person in a supermarket, a cashier in a fruit store, and even as a Baskin Robbins ice cream manager. Eventually, he established a fund raising company where he was very successful and able to retire at the age of 30. Married, with 2 young children, he applied and got accepted to the AUC School of Medicine, where he was able to start working towards his lifelong dream of medicine.

During most of his clinical training, Dr. Hardoon rotated in St. Thomas in the USVI, the New Britain Campus in Connecticut (a Major affiliate of the University of Connecticutt School of Medicine), and Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Campus in New York City (a Major affiliate of Albert Einstein School of Medicine and Mount Sinai School of Medicine). After graduating medical school, Dr. Abe Hardoon was very fortunate to secure a spot at North Shore University Hospital in NY to continue his training in Internal Medicine for the next 3 years, which was right down the road from where he grew up.

During his training, he focused on the the primary care aspect of Internal Medicine. After completing his Internal Medicine Residency, he worked in several Emergency Rooms and then started a private practice. However, it wasn’t long before he got tired of the snow and moved down to Florida.

Dr. Abe Hardoon has been practicing in the Suntree area of Melbourne since 1996. He started Suntree Internal Medicine in September 2002. In June 2015, Suntree Internal Medicine moved to the new facility at Brevard Medical City.

In 2009 Dr. Edwin Chan joined Dr. Hardoon at the practice. Dr. Chan was a childhood friend of Dr. Hardoon children, Scott and Eric.

In 2011 Dr. Hardoon’s son, Dr. Scott Hardoon joined his father at their practice.

In 2020 Dr. Hardoon was proud to welcome his nephew’s wife, Dr. Megan Galili to the practice.
