Dr. Jeffrey Westerfield, MD
Jeff Westerfield, MD is a board certified Family Medicine Physician and is fellowship trained in Sports Medicine.
For the last 9-years, Dr Westerfield has traveled to 27-different countries as a full-time staff physician for the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and with Formula-1 racing. Before then he was in private practice in Tampa, FL and worked in an Emergency Room in a remote Alaskan fishing village.
Dr Westerfield completed his Sports Medicine training at the American Sports Medicine Institute under the direction of renown sports medicine pioneer, Dr. James Andrews. He completed his medical residency in Family Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta and graduated from Ross University School of Medicine in 2010.
Before his career in medicine, Dr Westerfield was a helicopter pilot, serving in both the US Coast Guard and US Army. After his military service, he spent several years as a professional athlete for Team Powerade USA (Coca-Cola) where he led a group of ultra-endurance athletes in competitions around the globe. He was also a TV show host for Fox Sports Adventure Racing Diaries. He now spends his spare time as a race car driver and pit stop coach for a charity teaching disabled military veterans how to compete in motorsport races.
